How much does it cost to attend? 

FLAG is committed to making attendance for this conference possible for the 50 teachers selected to attend by covering the following costs:  ​

  • Breakfast and lunch provided on Friday and Saturday

  • Airfare reimbursement up to $400

  • Lodging for 2 nights at the hotel (double occupancy)

  • Transportation to and from the airport

Reimbursement for expenses will be provided to the participant at the conclusion of the conference and totals are not to exceed $500/ participant

 

Selected attendees will be responsible for a $100 registration fee to secure his or her spot if sharing a double occupancy room.  Should an attendee wish to have a private king suite, a $200 fee will be incurred to cover the additional costs.  

Are there any other costs involved?

Yes.  Attendees will have a free night in which they will be responsible for their dinner, as well as any other activities they wish to experience, on their own.  

Do I need to arrange for my own accommodations

No.  If selected, FLAG will make the lodging arrangement for you at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown.  If you have a specific preference for a room mate or type of room, please let us know.  

Will I earn professional development credit toward my educator recertification?

Participants will earn 16 hours of continuing education credit for recertification

Will FLAG provide scholarships if I cannot afford the registration fee or other associated costs? 

Yes.  Please contact sadie@flagusa.org should you wish to be considered.
